Our Ministry

The Lord’s Quilters is a compassion ministry that gives hand-made quilts stitched with prayer and sewn in love to people in need of spiritual, physical or emotional healing. In 2015, we became a 501 (c) (3) non-profit quilting ministry to enable us to fulfill the vast number of requests we receive from around the world.

How We Started

The Lord’s Quilters started by accident, literally – the 2010 motorcycle accident of Pastor Tim. The quilting group at the Living Word Church of Muskegon, Michigan, had already purchased material to make a quilt for him. News of his accident and the severity of his leg injury brought divine inspiration to make him a quilt – start to finish. Before Sunday services that weekend, we placed the quilt on the altar for the church community to lay hands on it and pray over it. After services, we presented Pastor Tim the quilt, anointed at the altar, and prayed for God’s healing work to begin.

The quilt became Pastor Tim’s constant companion. He kept his leg wrapped when he was seated and carried it with him when he was up and about. The original prognosis for his leg was grim, as the injury was so severe. Yet, his his injuries healed very well. Even his doctor said it was a “miracle.”

Shortly thereafter, Pastor Tim was on his feet again. He  asked the quilting group for three more quilts so that he may give one each to members of the congregation who were hurting in one way or another.

Requests for our healing quilts came to us with overwhelming regularity. And the personal testimony of those who received, multiplied it seemed like loaves and fishes in a famous story we all know.

Our quilting group transitioned into the Lord’s Quilters, a compassion ministry that offers prayer, quilts, hope and healing to who are hurting.
