The Lord’s Quilters is a compassion ministry that gives hand-made quilts stitched with prayer and sewn in love to people in need of spiritual, physical or emotional healing. In 2015, we became a 501 (c) (3) non-profit quilting ministry to enable us to fulfill the vast number of requests we receive from around the world.
How We Started
The Lord’s Quilters started by accident, literally. In 2010 a local pastor was in a motorcycle accident. The quilting group had purchased material to make him a quilt at some point but the news of his accident and the severity of his leg injury brought divine inspiration to make it sooner than later. We placed the quilt on the altar for the church community to lay hands on and pray over it "like a giant prayer cloth". After services, we presented the pastor, the quilt that was anointed at the altar, and we waited for God’s healing work to begin.
The quilt became the pastor's constant companion. He kept his leg wrapped and resting on it when he was seated and carried it with him when he was up and about. The original prognosis for his leg was grim, as the injury was so severe. Yet, his injuries healed very well. Even his doctor said it was a “miracle.”
Shortly thereafter, when the pastor was on his feet again. He asked the quilting group for three more quilts so that he could give one each to members of the congregation who was hurting in one way or another.
Requests for our healing quilts came to us with overwhelming regularity. And the personal testimony of those who received, multiplied it seemed like loaves and fishes in a famous story we all know.
Our quilting group transitioned into the Lord’s Quilters, a compassion ministry that offers prayer, quilts, hope and healing to those who are hurting.
...we presented the pastor, the quilt that was anointed at the altar, and we waited for God’s healing work to begin.
We do NOT charge for healing quilts, however, we do accept donations to offset the costs of time, materials and postage.
Thank you for supporting The Lord's Quilters
